Full Stack Engineer
Remote / IsraelFull-time5+ years
We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our small, fast-paced startup team building Shortica, a short-form drama app focused on engaging, mobile-first entertainment experiences. You'll work across the entire stack — Node.js services on the backend and Flutter on mobile — taking features from concept all the way to production.
Core stack
- Backend
- Node.js (Fastify)
- Mobile
- Flutter (Dart), React
- Infra
- PostgreSQL, Redis, Firebase
What you'll do
- Backend services: Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js.
- Mobile apps: Build and maintain mobile applications using Flutter.
- Data layer: Work with PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Full stack ownership: Understand and work across both frontend/client and backend systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product, production, and other stakeholders.
- End-to-end delivery: Take features from concept to production and help troubleshoot real-world issues.
- Technical direction: Contribute to architecture, technical decisions, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience as a software engineer
- Strong skills with Node.js and API development (preferably Fastify)
- Full stack understanding — strong grasp of both frontend/client and backend systems
- PostgreSQL and Redis experience
- Cloud and Kubernetes — experience deploying, managing, and scaling production services
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
Nice to have
- Gaming industry experience — a huge advantage
- Streaming and video processing experience
- Previous mobile development experience
- Experience working in an early-stage startup
- Experience working on consumer-facing products at scale
You
- You take responsibility and deliver
- You prefer simple, practical solutions over over-engineering
- You're comfortable figuring things out, even when unclear
If that sounds like you, let’s talk.
